Motiv8's was founded in 1986. The purpose was to organize Advanced and later Challenge program dances under a joint organization. The idea was that the club would be more or less nationwide. Stockholm is located in the most dense squaredance area; therefore the club has its quarter there.
Because it is not a regular club, the rules are slightly different. To become a member you must be able to dance the Advanced program. Previously, you also had to belong to another club, but at the 2015 annual meeting it was decided that this was no longer required. See the full statutes.
In 1990, we began arranging our festivals, four-day dances in early February and October. These dates were chosen in order not to impinge on other dances at the same program.
